Wide Format Scanning Plugins

WIDEcapture plugins are easy to use applications designed to interface your Contex Wide Format Scanner with advanced and popular software applications.

WIDEcapture brings all of the scanners advanced functions to your favorite application and lets you scan, set papersize, scan modes, color enhancement and image enhancement settings without interrupting your workflow.

WIDEcapture for Photoshop

• WIDEcapture imports images from the scanner into the Photoshop image editor. You can then use Photoshop’s wide range of image manipulation options, just as if you had opened an image file from your hard disk.
• The WIDEcapture plugin for Adobe Photoshop enables wide format scanning on Apple Power Macintosh OS 9 platforms.
• PC version for Windows 98, 98SE, ME, 2000, XP.
• Install the program into Adobe Photoshop’s plug-in folder andthen just select the application through Photoshop’s File menu
  

Note: Regarding Apple Power Macintosh version: Works with the scanner's SCSI interface. USB and Firewire scanner interfaces are not supported. Cannot run on scanners without SCSI interface connectivity such as the Chamelon 25".

WIDEcapture for AutoCAD
Wide Format Scanning Software for direct scanning into AutoCAD 2000 on Windows platforms. WIDEcapture for AutoCAD is a compact application designed to interface your Wide Format Scanner with the advanced CAD software AutoCAD 2000. When you install this plug-in software, a new menu item called "Scanned Raster Image" is entered in the Insert Menu on your AutoCAD interface. Selecting this item activates a Wide Format Scanning interface that contains all the features known from the WIDEimage Scan Screen, including the split preview screen and special tool buttons. Runs with Windows 98, 98SE, ME, 2000, XP.

This handy software brings the scanned image directly into your AutoCAD work space, saving you the time and trouble it costs to load the image from a file. The active Wide Format Scanning interface closes down at the end of scan-to-file and your scanned image is automatically loaded into the current drawing in AutoCAD.

WIDEcapture for AutoCAD contains all of the features found on the Scan Screen in WIDEimage such as:

• Full support for Copy modes with Dual 2D-Adaptive enhancement.
• Scanning with B/W adaptive and B/W Threshold mode.
• Sharpen/soften/blur controls.
• Scan window.
• Automatic alignment, rotation and inversion during scanning.
• Batch scanning.
• Correct functionality of WIDEcapture for AutoCAD requires that a complete version of
• WIDEimage is installed on your computer prior to installing WIDEcapture for AutoCAD.
